DAY 2: Mooloolah valley

After all the excitement of Day One, you are invited to travel a bit further south on Sunday 20 September to Mooloolah Valley and the home of Mooloolah FC for a change of pace. There we will participate in some relaxed games of walking football before enjoying some drinks and nibbles on the deck of the Mooloolah Valley Country Club.

Unlike the competitive format of Day One, teams will be selected on the day. So you could be playing against your teammates and alongside some of your opponents from the previous day. Teams will be created randomly with players selecting a small coloured disc. We may then do some adjustments in order to ensure teams are as equal as possible.

There will be no scores kept and no trophies at stake but a great opportunity to get to know other walking football enthusiasts.

We will use bibs for team colours. There will be no referees but we expect players to abide by the same rules used on Day One i.e. four touch, no running etc.  Registration for Day 2 will be $10.

The day will start at around 9.30 am and it will probably take 30 minutes or so to organise teams. . We plan to have at least four 20 minute games - depending on how everyone feels after Day One.

We will finish around lunchtime then gather at the Mooloolah Valley Country Club for refreshments. A number of finger food platters will be made available at no cost to registered players but more substantial meals will be available from the excellent kitchen facilities - see https://www.mooloolahvalleycountryclub.com.au/food

We recognise that some players will only be travelling up for Day One and we also understand that the relaxed format may not suit everyone. However, we encourage as many of you as possible to come along to participate in this unique format in a relaxed country setting.
